The Foreign Service Institute is the main training facility of American Foreign Service Officers. The institute designed and taught language courses to assist diplomats sent to overseas posts. The courses include books and extensive audio recordings. These materials are now in the public domain, and are in the process of being digitized by volunteers at http://fsi-language-courses.org/.
