About Floor Jansen

Floor Jansen, born on February 21, 1981 in Goirle, Netherlands, was the lead singer of the Dutch band After Forever from 1997 until their split in 2009. She is the older sister of fellow singer and Ayreon guest vocalist Irene Jansen, who played "Passion" on The Human Equation. Floor was sixteen when she joined After Forever in 1997 and the band released its first album, Prison of Desire, three years later. Floor's ability to sing in styles native to both classical and rock music have made her popular in the metal scene.
