flat7 was project of Mitsuo Tate, one of the touring guitarist from Cocteau Twins from 1989 - 1996. Mitsuo Tate, born in Aizu, Japan on the 19th of May 1965, was an enigmatic and thoroughly entertaining addition to the Cocteau family. With his unusual diction and bizarre facial hair, he helped them through many potentially grim moments with great humour. Apart from his undeniable charm, he is a wonderful musician, who can turn his hand to anything, including making the band sushi.
