About Family Ghosts
In September of 2013, long-time friends and collaborators Matthew Cassillo and Dennis Ryan set about writing and recording a set of songs that dealt with their personal and shared anxieties, fears, and relationships surrounding the concept of death. The duo dubbed themselves Family Ghosts, and on Halloween, this collection of rough demos was released as 'Twist and Shout with Family Ghosts'. In the days directly following its release, the set of songs and its lead single 'Zombie of Love' received press coverage on several blogs.
