About Fadoul
Fadoul was a Moroccan funk pioneer active in the 1970s, known for fusing James Brown-style grooves with Arabic lyrics and North African rhythms. Based in Casablanca, he recorded raw, garage-influenced tracks like "Sid Redad"—an Arabic take on "Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag." Forgotten for decades, his music was rediscovered and reissued by Habibi Funk in 2015, gaining cult status for its gritty, cross-cultural sound.
