About Emperor Stan
Emperor Stan is a now defunct progressive rock quartet out of Lawrence, KS. With Kyle O'Neal on keyboards, John Zehr on guitar, Andy Foerschler on drums, and Andrew Algren on bass, the group strives to create progressive rock music that is still accessible and appealing to a wider range of musical tastes. Borrowing influences from the likes of Yes, Spock's Beard, Rush, Umphrey's McGee, Steve Vai, and Joe Satriani, the group strives for a more upbeat progressive sound, straying away from the metal that has pervaded the genre in recent years.
