There are three bands named Elora: 1) Started in 2002, Elora originally called themselves Checkpoint. People came and went as the band went through many line-up changes before settling on: Jordan Calhoun, Jason Scott, Jarred De Armas, and Andrew Bennet. Despite opposition in the local scene for not being "hardcore" enough, Checkpoint never faltered.
