Mr. Winningham did not attend University for music, instead preferring to study composition and theory on his own using full scores of Mozart's works and text books such as: "Albrechtsberger's Thorough Bass, Harmony and Composition", "Harmony" by Walter Piston and "The Technique of Orchestration" and "Counterpoint" by Kent Kennan. His music, highly melodic in nature with rich harmonic textures
