About Elek Bacsik
Elek Bacsik (22 May 1926-14 February 1993) was a Hungarian jazz violinist and guitarist. Bacsik was of Gypsy descent and probably studied at the Budapest Conservatory but found his primary musical inspiration in bebop pioneers Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker. He worked in Paris in the early 1960s (he recorded two albums on guitar and he worked with Serge Gainsbourg on the album "Confidentiel") and in Las Vegas starting in 1967. Bacsik recorded
