E. J. Hughes is an Atlanta Georgia based tenor saxophonist who continues to contribute to the art form of Jazz. E.J. Hughes was instructed and spurred by many tenor sax legends including George Coleman, Bob Berg, Billy Mitchell, and Sam Rivers. Each encouraged him to seriously pursue this vast art. These masters gave him a deep respect for the jazz tradition while encouraging him to develop an original voice on his instrument. In search of his own voice
