About Duke Edwards And The Young Ones

Eddie 'Poppa Duke' Edwards Jr., or simply Duke Edwards, born in Los Angeles, CA, United States, was a n American jazz / soul/ funk musician. A member of Sun Ra's Arkestra in the early 1960s, he moved to Montreal to become musical director for the 1967 Expo. He would then put together a band called Duke Edwards and the Young Ones. They would release a free jazz-soul-psych-funk album in 1968 on Prestige entitled Is It Too Late?. Later he performed with Rhinoceros.
