Drive Texas is an indie/punk four-piece from New York City. Known for constantly switching instruments mid-set, these guys draw influences from Hot Water Music, Weezer, Spoon, Small Brown Bike, Lagwagon, Matt Pond PA, the Bouncing Souls, and Alkaline Trio. Brothers Jay and Phil Mandel split main songwriting responsibilities, with Phil on bass / lead vocals, and Jay on drums (sometime guitar/vocals). Greg Bandolik (formerly of the band Spin CTRL) joined the band in the summer of '08 on guitar and trumpet.
