About Douglas McLean
Douglas McLean is a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist with a great interest in his Scottish heritage. Although he has been influenced by such diverse artists as the Tannahill Weavers, Alex Beaton and Runrig, his style is his own even when he performs one of their songs. His many original songs are based either on historical fact or stories about real people. His love of the Gaelic language even prompted him to learn it himself. Doug also hosts local Gaelic classes.
