About Doug Young
Doug Young is a fingerstyle instrumental guitarist based in the San Francisco South Bay area. He is the winner of the 2011 International Acoustic Music Awards in the instrumental category. An active perfomer in the local acoustic guitar scene, Doug hosts a monthly guitar showcase in which he has shared the stage with Dorian Michael, Thomas Leeb, Steve Baughman, William Coulter, Teja Gerken, Mark Hanson, and many more. Doug has released two CDs, Laurel Mill, and Closing Time which feature his solo guitar playing, compositions and arrangements.
