Don't Mention the Metronomes are a five-piece alternative rock band from Bridgend, Wales. As on January 2007, the band are unsigned and have only relatively recently entered the chaotic scene in Bridgend, which predominantly features emo/nu-metal/hardcore acts. Their sound can be described as something sitting vaguely between Queens of the Stone Age and The Pixies. Pop dynamics mixed with restrained improvisation, whimsy combined serious social commentry, grungy guitars tempered with a marginal use of keyboard and violin.
