About Doces Bárbaros
The 1976 Brazilian supergroup made up of four of the biggest names in the history of popular music in Brazil: Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and Maria Bethânia. Doces Bárbaros is also the name of the 1976 double album by the MPB group of the same name. It was recorded June 24 of that year at Anhembi Stadium in São Paulo, with the purpose of touring Brazil to celebrante ten years of success in their individual careers. The group was the subject of a 1977 documentary directed by Jom Tob Azulay.
