About District Five
There are (at least) two bands called District Five. 1. District Five is an experimental band from Zürich, Switzerland, that plays jazz, but not just jazz. Named after Zürich's 'industrial chic' District 5, band members Vojko Huter, Paul Amereller, Tapiwa Svosve and Xaver Rüegg are all multi-instrumentalists. They started out as a free jazz group, but (having shared rehearsal rooms and stages for over ten years, reflecting on themselves, their friendship, their influences and experiences in their music) they have evolved.
