Dio – distraught overlord was a Japanese visual kei metal band that formed in Tokyo in May 2006. Known for their darker, heavier sound compared to typical visual kei bands, Dio fused metal with melodic elements, creating a distinct style that stood out within the genre. The band consisted of vocalist Mikaru, guitarists Erina and Kei, bassist Ivy, and drummer Denka. The band officially made their debut on May 14, 2006, with a performance at Shinjuku HOLIDAY, where they distributed their first single, "Garasu no Umi" (硝子の海).
