Diana Est is Cristina Barbieri, an Italian new wave singer from 1982 to 1984. Diana Est had an androgynous appearance and wore a mix of ancient Roman and new wave-style clothes. Her career was very short: -in 1982 she released 2 songs: "Tenax" and "Notte senza pietà" that gave her huge success; -in 1983 "Le Louvre", "Marmo di città"; -in 1984 "Diamanti" and "Pekino".
