About Deicide
Deicide is an American death metal band formed in 1987 in Tampa. The group was originally established as Carnage by drummer Steve Asheim and guitarists Eric Hoffman and Brian Hoffman. After recruiting bassist and vocalist Glen Benton, the band briefly performed under the name Amon before adopting the name Deicide in 1989. Deicide gained wider recognition in 1992 with the release of their second studio album, "Legion." During the SoundScan era, the band was ranked among the best-selling death metal acts
