About Dean Watson
I guess my mother was a musical influence for me. When I was very young she would play ( or try to ) such hits as "Purvis Boogie" and "Peg of my Heart" and I was intrigued by the sound of the piano. I started to pick it up and my Dad suggested lessons. I progressed with lessons for 9 years and at that time I felt I was proficient enough to continue on my own. I had already started learning improvisational jazz on both guitar and piano. In my 20's I formed a progressive rock band called AirKraft.
