About David Thomas Broughton vs. 7 Hertz
David is from Otley but is now based in London. A life long music fan, he taught himself guitar when his Dad bought him one along with one of those helpful books. With influences including Smog and Tom Waits, his output was never going to be that conventional, but coupled with a boredom of conventional band setups and playlists, David's live shows especially have earned him quite a reputation for being something different, with multiple loopings and samplings used to build up the impression of a large ensemble.
