About David DQ Lee
David DQ Lee (David Dong Qyu Lee, born February 11, 1978 ) is a Korean-Canadian countertenor and member of the crossover quartet Forténa. He began his singing career at a young age as a boy soprano of a children's choir in South Korea. After his voice changed, he moved to Vancouver, Canada, to study at the Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM) as the very first countertenor to be admitted with full scholarship, earning himself the Bachelor of Music degree working with several noteworthy people like late Canadian Mezzo-soprano Phyllis Mailing
