About David Bentley
David Bentley is an Australian musician and journalist known for writing the 1969 song "In a Broken Dream" for his band Python Lee Jackson (in which he was a keyboard player and singer). A recording made while the band was in London featured vocals by Rod Stewart (as the producer felt Bentley's vocals were not correct for the song). Released in the UK as a single, it peaked at #3 on the UK singles chart in October 1972.
