David Alan Ross (born October 18, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana) is an American singer/songwriter of Traditional Country and Americana music. Ross’ style is simple and direct in the style of Van Zandt, Prine and Earl. Growing up in central Indiana, Ross was exposed to the recordings of Hank Williams at an early age by the father of a childhood friend. Williams’ music quickly defined for Ross, a taste in music that endures to this day.
