DarkeSword (Shariq Ansari) is an American artist primarily known for writing video game remixes, and is a prominent member of the OverClocked ReMix community. His work spans many genres, including electronic, orchestral, jazz, and world fusion. DarkeSword was heavily influenced by many different kinds of music growing up: video game soundtracks, Indian film music, American movie scores, and classic and contemporary jazz. A desire to improve as a performer when in high school lead him to explore music theory in depth
