About Daniel C
Subject of the 2012 animated documentary 'Daniel C: The Pirate of Love' by Sara Gunnarsdóttir, Daniel C is an outsider musician from Canada. Employed primarily as a truck driver, legend has it some of Daniel's work colleagues stole a copy of his record from his locker and finding they liked it, distributed copies of it among their friends. From these origins in Canada, the album traveled by word of mouth to Iceland, where it came to the attention of filmmaker Sara Gunnarsdóttir, whose film has helped to spread Daniel's work globally.
