About Daddy Dewdrop
Daddy Dewdrop was an American novelty song studio group, whose lead singer was Richard Monda born Cleveland, Ohio, 1952, backed up by some studio musicians. Monda had writen the song "Chick-A-Boom" for the cartoon, Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies. The song was picked up by Sunflower Records, who came up with the name Daddy Dewdrop and released a full album of joke tunes, including a rewritten "Chick-A-Boom" which interpolated the tune "John Jacob Jingleheimerschmitt" and was retitled "Chick-A-Boom (Don't Ya Jes' Love It)".
