
DAC Crowell (b. 1961) is a composer/performer of primarily electroacoustic ambient works. Beginning with experiments in ambient music in the early 1980s, Crowell went on to form the ensemble LVXUS in his native Nashville, TN in 1986, performing a number of "installation concerts" with the group. After the death of his collaborator Jim Irwin, Crowell went on to pursue solo work, beginning in the early 1990s and continuing to this day. His work has been released on a number of smaller and net-based labels
