About Cyanamid
Cyanamid was an early 1980s hardcore / noise band from central New Jersey, named after a chemical corporation which operated in their area. Despite very limited recorded output, Cyanamid played gigs very frequently, and was comprised of some of the most consistent supporters of the New Jersey punk scene. In retrospect, they are now now considered to be a grindcore pioneer. During their time, however, they were mostly compared with bands like Flipper and New Jersey's Finest
