He began playing instruments at age eight, mastering trumpet, guitar, keyboard, drums, bass, mellophone, and French horn. In high school, he played in the marching and jazz bands. After graduating, he uploaded a slide guitar cover of Sleep Walk by Santo & Johnny on YouTube and started producing music at home, releasing it on Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
