Crystalized Movements were formed in 1980 by Wayne Rogers and Ed Boyden, two freshmen at Tolland High School who bonded over their shared love of No Wave and 1960s psychedelia. After three years of experimenting, which included countless renditions of the song "Gloria," they decided in early 1983 that it was time to create an LP. They recorded loose duo versions of some of Wayne's songs and then parted ways shortly after graduating from high school in June of 1983.
