About Cornelius Burgh
Cornelius Burgh (born around 1590 in Cologne, died around 1639 in Erkelenz) was a German lawyer, organist and composer of the early Baroque. Cornelius Burgh studied law and music in Cologne. From 1616 to 1618 he was employed as an organist in the service of the Mönchengladbach Benedictines at the Münsterkirche . In 1618 he married Eva Aredtz in Mönchengladbach and moved with her to Erkelenz, where he worked as a notary , lawyer and organist at the parish church of St.
