Chug was a New Zealand band formed in Dunedin in the early 1990 by Norma O'Malley (vocals, guitar) (who also featured in Look Blue Go Purple) and Alf Danielson (bass) (who also performed with Goblin Mix). Featuring many of Dunedin's musical alumni, the original line-up did not include Dave Mitchell and Gary Sullivan but, instead, there was Stephen Kilroy on guitar and Alan Haig on drums. With this line-up, they recorded their debut single by themselves and, also, sold it by themselves.
