About Christof Lauer
Born in 1953, Christof Lauer is a german jazz tenor saxophonist (Tenorsaxophon). Christof Lauer is one the important European jazz saxophonists. He began playing the piano when he was six years old and studied this instrument, in the conservatoire in Frankfurt on the Main. In 1971 he changed to the tenor saxophone and studied it with with Dieter Glawischnig in the Graz college for music. In 1979 Christof Lauer became a member of the jazz ensemble of the Hessian radio broadcasting and played in the jazz band Voices with Heinz Sauer
