About Chickasaw Mudd Puppies
The Chickasaw Mudd Puppies were an American rock band, formed by Brant Slay (vocalist, washboard, harmonica) and Ben Reynolds (vocalist, percussion, electric guitar). The band was a major part of the music of Athens, Georgia, and were proteges of Michael Stipe, a local legend and member of R.E.M.. The Chickasaw Mudd Puppies recorded two albums, working with producers like Willie Dixon and John Keane. The band soon broke up, and Reynolds has since begun a solo career.
