About Check 1-2
Check 1-2 (or The Check 1-2 in later years) was a contemporary 'sixties' garage band from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The band members knew each other well when they formed Check 1-2 in 2005: they were all in The Skidmarks, Check 1-2's predecessor. Influenced by their musical hero Greg Cartwright (of Reigning Sound) their sound got a more soulful and rootsy sixties feel. Their début LP, Check 1-2, was released by Munich Records in January 2007. They opened for the Arctic Monkeys in Utrecht and toured Spain.
