
Charlotte Greig (born in Malta on 10 August 1954; died 19 June 2014) was a British folk singer-songwriter based in Cardiff, and also a novelist, playwright, and music journalist. Her songs are dark and haunting, recalling the bleakest traditional folk songs of death and loss. Her music is fairly minimalist - harmonium and brooding electric guitar. The first of her albums, Night Visiting Songs, was released in 1990. In 2007 she curated and contributed to Migrating Bird
