Growing up in a family filled with musical talent, Charity Black entered the spotlight at an early age. Charity's mother, Damie Rivers, and father, Cragg Black, enrolled their daughter in Indianapolis' art camps to prepare her for the stage. Always having a love for music and arts, Charity had a natural flare for acting and singing. Charity's grandmother got her involved with the local modeling circuit as a child. Finding that she enjoyed singing much more than anything, Charity joined a Destiny's Child cover group.
