CFM Band and Swing Machine, projects featured heavily on the "This is Acid Jazz" series on Instinct Records, are simply nom de plumes for producer Reynald Deschamps, relying heavily on a roster of talented guest musicians, including Richie Weeks, and many member of Jazzhole: Warren Rosenstein, Kevin Disimone, Rosa Russ, and John Pondel. Reynald Deschamps, or Reynald "CFM" Deschamps, nicknamed the "Crazy Frenchman", is an artist, producer and independent label head.
