Cenospecies was an independent hip-hop group from Minneapolis, MN. The group consisted of MCs P.O.S. and Syst, and DJ Turbo Nemesis. They released one album, called Indefinition, in 2001. After breaking up in 2002, the City Pages, a weekly alternative newspaper in the Twin Cities, named Cenospecies "Best Band To Break Up In The Past 12 Months." P.O.S. went on to start a crew called Doomtree, and has released two solo records on Rhymesayers Entertainment. Turbo Nemesis is still his DJ in Doomtree.
