About Cengiz Özkan
Cengiz Özkan (b. 1967 in Divrigi) is a Turkish musician and singer, playing baglama, and specialising in Anatolian traditional music. He completed his primary education in Istanbul, and went on to graduate from Istanbul Technical University State Musical Conservatory. He completed his M.Sc. at the Istanbul Technical University Institute of Social Sciences, in the Turkish Folk Music Department. He played baglama in the Istanbul University Turkish Folk Music Group between 1988 and 1991.
