About Celso Pixinga
One of the most requested Brazilian bassists, Celso Pixinga had his first album released in 1986 (Concentração/Celso Pixinga, 440 e Zona Sul) followed by other seven instrumental albums (quite an accomplishment, given the Brazilian market), ranging from pop to fusion with a pinch of jazz. In February 1995, Celso Pixinga performed twice at the Blue Note (New York NY). In the next year the same show was presented at the SESC São Paulo room, city in which the instrumentalist is based.
