Cate Brooks, (formally known as Jon Brooks, The Advisory Circle, King of Woolworths and for her music under the Café Kaput moniker/label amongst other alter-egos) releases music that often reflects the hauntological electronic soundtracks of the Public Information Films and Programmes for Schools and Colleges of British 70s TV, and has a life-long love and association with library music and conceptual ambient work. Her work in its many guises has been a backbone to several labels that share a sympathy with her aesthetics
