This is music from the Indian Ocean. It has been a witness to the history of the Creole’s soul. This music --with its stars, Marcelino Chaton, Babalé, Bruno Mooken, Roger and Marie Josée Clency,Jean-Claude Gaspar, Serge Lebrasse--explores the various sounds of an island (Mauritius) that is at the crossroads of various influences that force us to remember or suggest an identity. The Group was created in 1988. Its name comes from Cassi, a suburb of Port-Louis (the capital city of the island).
