Carolina Soares was born in october 14, 1979 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Beautiful vocals and dedication to the history and culture of Capoeira have made Carolina Soares a rising star throughout Brazil’s Capoeira community—she’s become a frequent guest performer at a variety of demos and batizados. This two disc set features traditional Capoeira music and songs sung by Carolina, including samba de roda, puxada de rede, and the well known corrido, paranauê, remixed with the latest rhythms in Brazilian hip hop.
