About Carlota Jaramillo
Known as the Queen of Canción Nacional ("The Queen of National Song"), Jaramillo was born in 1904 (July 09th, Ecuador) and performed for a solid half century, from 1922 up until 1972." She was married to an actor, singer and composer "Araujo Jorge Chiriboga", with whom she had two children. She grew up in a musical environment where members of her family (maternal grandfather & one of her uncles) accompany her singing with Guitar playing. She died in 1987 (December 10th
