About Carl Rutti
Born in 1949 and lives in the Canton of Zug in Switzerland. His first major musical influences were from learning the piano and violin and singing in the monastery choir where he was educated. He also played a lot of jazz and in a military band. In 1976 he spent a year in London, where he took piano lessons from Kendall Taylor and organ lessons with Richard Latham. During this time he became captivated by the sound of English choirs and was commissioned to write various works by the BBC Singers and Cambridge Voices.
