About Caldara

1. Antonio Caldara (1670 – 28 December 1736) was an Italian Baroque composer. 2. Caldara (also known as Caldera) was the brainchild of Robert Margouleff and Malcolm Cecil, who would later work together as Tonto's Expanding Head Band and provide kozmik texturing for Stevie Wonder's funky pop expeditions. Their sole album as Caldara, the intriguingly titled A Moog Mass, combines Switched-On Bach style multi-part Moog arrangements with cello, harpsichord and vocoded vocals for an electronic version of a Catholic mass. It was released in 1970.
