Cal Scott (born Calvin Ralph Scott) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and composer from Portland Oregon. His song, Paid Too Much for the Diamond, from his CD “Carved Wood Box”, took First Place in the Great American Song Contest in 2013 (Singer/Songwriter category). Scott is the musical director of The Trail Band and also records and tours with Irish fiddler Kevin Burke as Kevin Burke & Cal Scott.
